[DML] Driver's side torsion bar update

I have been sending emails to my welder who was going to repair my
driver's torsion bar. I have been getting no response. So today I
drove down to see him. He has been moving his operations to a new
location and has not been able to get online access at his plant and
has been loosing most of his emails. He saw my van, thought I was the
cable guy and ran out to greet me. We talked and he has not received
the information I sent him. I did get an email from someone who
provided me with the type of stainless steel the bar was made from, I
cannot find that email and need to get it to my welder, so I hope
that person reads this and can resend it to me. I have the production
process information, which I am sending him.
He said he was not working on it because he would like to know what
the metal was before welding it and as far as making a new bar he
would get to it but he figured it was an item worth about forty
dollars. When I told him what I had just paid for a used drivers
torsion bar he almost fell down, that changed everything. He would
like to weld it this Sunday if I can find out what the bar is made
from. He now knows there is value to this item and it may well be
worth his time and effort to fabricate a replacement bar. He is a
metals engineer.
The information I had received stated that it was one of two types of
stainless steel, so if you could resend that information I will keep
on with this project.
