When I replaced the front speakers I installed rivnuts in the sub dash (not protruding through the top dash) and it makes speaker replacement almost easy (given that you are on your back, under the dash and bent backwards:-). One of the two speakers installed is bad and I swapped right for left and reinstalled the original speaker until I get a replacement. Having the rivnuts to attach to means that you can see the target, you can use a nut/screw and they are more accessible. The down side may be less sound quality due to a non-airtight seal around the speaker ... but that can be fixed. Nick No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
