The bypass kit is not so much for disabling the tell-tale light. That is a by-product of removing the relay which has a high failure rate. Without the relay the light can't function. If you want the light to work there are other kits out there that can do that, just not as cheaply. Be aware that you MUST check the bypass wires once in a while. I personally have seen them melt. The bypass was meant as only a temporary fix by the factory until a more permanant solution was devised.
