[DML] Re: Bad Alternator?

Thanks for the replies and verifying that the situation is most 
likely my alternator.  I have an '82, so I guess it's the 
Motorolla?  I ordered the D110 version from John, as I don't have 
any heavy demands like a stereo with an amp,etc.  The 110 should 
suffice, right?  I plan to replace it myself.  Are there any 
stumbling blocks to replacing it (like frozen bolts or other 
components that I would need to remove to get the alternator off? 

One issue that does concern me, is that the car still wouldn't start 
when I used another vehicle with jumper cables. Shouldn't the fully 
charged battery from the other vehicle have started the Delorean, or 
can the bad alternator (or blown regulator as John mentioned) be 
shorting and draining the system down, even with another batter 
jumped in.
