I believe Ryan was asking how to remove the console to replace the lights, or do you do it from behind?  I would like to know the procedure as well....

What, on the LED install?

It's as simple as changing a bulb. I don't know what John is talking
about with the "sparks everywhere" and car on fire talk. That has
nothing to do with LEDs. This isn't even a modification, it's just a
bulb replacement. Just pull the light bulbs that are there out and
install the LEDs in their place. Push and twist, that's it. No
different than any other light bulb change if you buy the right LEDs.
