Dave,
No water in the fluid, handles heat better and I would assume that the
customer has already replaced the old plastic line with the new SS line.
I can also change the spring tension in the slave system which might help a
some. I have lighter springs that don't push back as much.

On some bottles of Silicone fluid I've seen words to the effect "Not
for use use in clutch systems".
Silicone fluid is more compressible than normal brake fluid. Not a
big deal in a brake system but with the tiny volumes being moved in
the clutch system it may put you right back where you were with the
plastic clutch line, i.e. tearing up second and third gear.
I don't see how different fluid is going to make the clutch action
easier. That's not where the friction is, it's mechanical, either in
the throwout bearing sliding on the tube or in the pressure plate
assembly itself.
