A tip I picked up when owning a motorhome was to leave sheets of
BOUNCE, the fabric softner, around; on the floor, under the seats and
so on. Mice hate the stuff but it has none of the attributes of smelly
mothballs or a dead mouse carcass.

> If you ever store the vehicle again, be sure to put a couple boxes
of pelletized poison mouse bait on the floors, in the luggage
compartment and even one in the engine compartment. When they eat the
bait (and they will), they become dehydrated (that's how the poison
works) and they leave to go find water. They almost never die in the
vehicle, causing that "dead varmit" smell that's even more difficult
to get rid of.
