[DML] Paint the rear louver?

Hey all - my rear louver is pretty faded.  I read the DML archives and 
some folks recommended Krylon semi-flat black paint while a few others 
said it's not a good idea to paint it at all.  Any thoughts?  If 
painting is not the way to go, what have other people done?
