[DML] Re: Broken Exhaust Manifold Stud

I believe the tool is hardened steel. The thing about it is that the
reverse threads on the outer collar are very shallow. I presume that
if the stud isn't going to budge, the collar will loose it's bite
before breaking off. It was worth a shot and I guess I was lucky from
what I heard. I bought the set knowing it would either work like magic
or cause a giant catastrophe. I was most impressed that it worked on
one stud that had been broken off for years and covered with exhaust
soot.
Again, I had the motor out of the car and drained of all fluids so I
just tipped it on it's side to get a direct line with the drill. With
the motor in the car, your mileage may vary.
