Re: [DML] Color of Spray Paint for Facia

Shannon, if you're just looking to touch-up some chips or scratches, spray paint is not going to be a good choice. No matteer how close a match you "think" the cap looks, it will probably end up looking worse when you're done than the original chips did. If you're just doing spots, it will never blend in properly.

The one exception here is if you were to prep and paint the ENTIRE fascia with spray paint. Then, it will not need to blend in with any of original silver color. Spray can paint will never hold up as well as true automotive paint nor will it be as durable, but it is very cheap and if you take your time, you can get some descent results. The final color may be a slightly different than the original silver, but only a concourse judge will beat you up too bad for that.

Good luck

Subject: [DML] Color of Spray Paint for Facia

I need to do a touch up of a few spots on the facias. Has anyone ever
found a spray paint color that closely matches? If so, what's the brand
and clor name or number?
