[DML] Re: A/C pressure readings - interpretation?

I bought my D last year.
It still had R12, so I asked my A/C shopkeeper to change the system
to R134a.
The system has been pressure checked before the change and then
flushed and refilled with R134a and some fluor (for easy checking on
leaks).
The system has been refilled with 960 grams (approx 2.1 pounds) of
R134a.
Thereafter the pressure was okay (don't know the exact figures, but I
can ask if you want to know) and temp tested to 5° Celsius, which is
approx 41° F.
Very cold, indeed. Not even my Pontiac Transsport can match that.

Maybe this info is helpful to you.

Welmoed.

years ago and have experienced the coldest AC since buying the car
new 25 years ago. I installed a new compressor a few years ago when
the clutch bearing failed on the old one. At that time I had the
system vacuumed and R12 re-installed. The original orifice tube was
replaced years ago because many of the original ones were
contaminated right out of the factory. I still have that replacement
tube in the car. Three years ago my son-in-law ( he owns an auto
repair shop ) converted things to 134. He vacuumed the system,
installed the proper oil, changed the fill fitting and added R134.
Since then I've driven the car from Minnesota to Pigeon Forge, on
through South Carolina and back to Minnesota. Year two: I drove the
car to the California coast and followed the coast line up to
Victoria, BC and back to Minnesota. Last year I drove to Chicago, and
then on to Williamsburg, VA and, again, back to Minnesota. This
spring it's still blowing very cold.
