Nyargh! Yes, you're absolutely right. I'm being a twit. Somewhere along 
the line I mis-filed that in my head :-)

It'll bug me now why I thought that - it's not like I haven't got 
I-don't-know-how-many engines idling properly, adjusted throttles 
countless times, and now I look like a right pillock :-D

Sorry once again, and thanks for being so polite!

-but- a wide open idle valve will not cause the idlespeed to 
progressively increase as the engine warms up (well not from a healthy 
900rpm or so when cold). It'll race its nuts off from the moment it's 
started.
