My two cents:

I've never been to a show. I really don't want to go without my car
and the shows are too darn far to drive all the way from Washington.
That said:

I'd drive to Salt Lake or anywhere in between in a heartbeat - or, for
that matter, anywhere in WA/OR/ID. I'd probably even consider driving
to Vegas. Denver and Phoenix, maybe; that starts to get a bit far
away.
