Agreed. You need to "v-cut" the part and fill with the duramix. Then sand and repaint. This brings up another problem. Doesn't the spoiler have a texture? (This would be lost in this sort of repair process.)
I'd still vote "new part" unless it's a very small crack.

I have seen these repairs, and they never look right unless you sand and
repaint the whole thing,
which isn't a bad idea....however if the damage is bad you might want to
just spring for the
new part.
