Interesting discussion. There are hundreds (thousands?) of 32-36 Ford street rods running around the country with small block chevy motors, nailhead Buick engines, older Cadillac engines and even some Northstars. I doubt that any of the owners of those street rods would refer to their cars as any but a Ford! I've had a DeLorean since 1982. I've done a number of "customizing" things on the car. Though I've not done an engine swap, I've often tought about it. My lowered, custom grained, Alpine stereo'd, custom wired, cold air intake, twin turbo'd, chromed wheeled and engine vehicle is still a DeLorean!!
