I'm not disputing that, and it's likely that there's a lot more I don't know about the car's modifications... I just know that those are the numbers that the dyno gave him when he last ran it on one. I'll be seeing him in a few days and I'll ask him what else has been done. Since you're probably the lists's most knowledgeable person about PRV's, I'd rather believe that I missed something he told me than that this engine contradicts all known history of these engines.. because that means I have to explain over and over to people that no, I don't know why it's that powerful, it doesn't make sense to me either, but that's what it is, etc... Hopefully I can get an answer that'll satisfy everyone. --- In dmcnews@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Martin Gutkowski - DMC Ltd <martin@...> wrote: > > Possible, but not like this, IMHO > > I know of a 2664 (88mm bore) odd-fire running triple webers, free-flow > exhaust, high lift cams, custom pocketed pistons, custom conrods and a > CR over 11:1, mapped ignition, lightened flywheel, twin plate clutch, > ported and polished, big valves.... the list goes a lot further and > produces just shy of 100hp/litre, which given transmission losses would > account for 210 at the wheels from a 3 litre. > > I'll let everyone know what my recent 3 litre Alpine project produces > when mapped up.
