Yep..saw this a few months ago, but didn't see the DMC.  I will have to
re-watch that segment.
 
BTW:  The movie highlights the fact that it was more then the government,
and oil companies that killed the electric car.  Every component of the
puzzle (except the batteries used in the car) were proven to have had a
negative effect on the overall success of the car.   As Video Bob says, it
IS an interesting movie, and worth checking out.  If you thought DMC owners
were dedicated to their car.....YOU HAVE TO SEE THESE PEOPLE! (Ending was
very sad though)

I just watch a DVD called "Who Killed The Electric Car",
which is all about the conspiricy of the oil companies and the government to

get rid of
the all electric car....it's a great video if you like that sort of thing.
They visit a car museum to show one of the electric cars and there is the 
GOLD DELOREAN
sitting there in the background.
At first I thought it was yellow, but in another shot is clearly gold.
Check it out.
