Hi John The genesis of these hoses was that I had a near catastrophic fuel leak on my own OEM hoses on my car shortly after I got it running. Our hydraulic supplier was able to make the stainless hoses but I have personally never liked their appearance - I feel the large black hoses form a very recognisable part of the look of the DeLorean engine. They came back with a couple of options and we settled on these thermoplastic ones as they look fantastic, form to shape and the ends are crimped with Cd plated collars - again in keeping with the rest of the engine bay.
