Not sure about the VIN range but some DeLoreans have a front-mounted antenna.  I think they were added at the dealerships to offer better radio reception.  If your car doesn't have one, consider yourself lucky because in my opinion, they are an ugly afterthought.
  
The retractable antenna is far better from a visual aspect.  If you have a front fender antenna, it can be removed, welded, and regrained and it will look like it never had one - I know a guy who did this.
 
So to answer your question, yes some Deloreans have front fender antennas as this seller apparently does/did.

    Does anyone know the seller?  I asked a  question about the car cover and 
got the following reply
 
"hello the car cover is a fitted car cover from the dmc company from texas  
the only thig wrong with the car cover is a small hole were i had to cut it for 
 the deloreans attena near the front of the car passenger side."
 
    The antenna is not located on the front fender or  is that something that 
may have occurred in latter cars?   With all  the fraudulent Delorean 
auctions on E-bay I figure better ask than just  bid.  Any clarification would 
be
