I was trained in Non-profit management when I was in American Humanics at
the University of Houston and I've met with some of the directors of
museums.  If you need any help in obtaining your 501(C3) status I probably
know some people you can talk to in how to write up such proposals and
applying for grants if needed.  I would recommend getting in contact with
Margaret O'Donnell at UofH first and foremost 713-743-1000 is the main line
and they could direct your call.  She's a professor of Social Work and a
certified MSWLCP.
