There are indeed two sizes of nuts, I was told by Warren. Sears and Pep Boys both carry them (now always with the other sockets at Pep Boys). As far as the snap ring, why not spend $15 on a pair of snap ring pliers? I bought a pair to use when replacing my AC idler bearings. No clearance to get them in there? I recommend using 3" nails to grab the holes of the snap rings, finally worked. Thanks Again. Piszar <piszar@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:piszar%40sbcglobal.net> > wrote: Ah yes, leverage. I also experienced the issue of not being able to get the proper leverage to loosen the nut when I replaced my angle drive. I ended up using a hydraulic jack under the wrench handle, it worked perfectly. Give it a try.
