Hi Nick Check the compression on all cylinders and compare the readings. I would say that your exhaust valves on the affected cylinders are not closing properly. >From what you are describing I would say it's beyond adjustment now... the valve seats are probably badly burned now. If I'm right you will see a low compression on those two cylinders. If that is the case then squirt a little bit of oil into the cylinder and take the reading one more time to rule out bad rings. If the reading stays the same and it's low you will have to rebuild the cylinder head. And make sure the valve lash is properly adjusted on all cylinders.
