For a drop in stock replacement I have not heard any rear 4"x10" drop in
replacement beat the one that Eclipse (Eclipse SE8405) make. I think DMCH
sell these.
The front speakers I short-listed originally where also eclipse 3.5 inch,
however the treble cone pokes proud of the speaker face so the where
unsuitable. They would have split the dash and vibrated like crazy. For
front 3.5" drop in replacements I suggest Clif Designs based on a friends
recommendation:-

Check with the supplier that the tweeter is flush as the design has changed
since the different version I heard previously installed on a DeLorean which
sounded awesome.
I personally would have gone this route but had already invested in my 4"
Alpine SPX-017R components all round plus a separate subwoofer with a mono
amp to handle the base that the 4" could not cope with. If you go the 4"
route you will need to be creative for mounting but apart from the tweeters
the original speakers holes will still look stock.

Subject: [DML] Stock Speakers: (WasTo Cut or Not to Cut)
On the subject of radios, I have seen recommendations for speaker
replacement in the past. I was wondering if anyone has recently
replaced their stock speakers with any of the newer ones out there. I
know replacements usually require some spacing for the fronts. Since
there are a lot of new speakers out there, has anyone recently
replaced the stock speakers with a brand or model they recommend? I
don't want a speaker box and am looking for a set that provides good
quality to replace the stock ones, and fits relatively well in the
stock locations front and rear. Thanks.
