To Roger and anyone else on the DML not familiar with DMCTalk.com. I am not going to debate the spam software from AOL, but I can tell you that an AOL address will often have problems when registering for forums, etc. And in particular with the type of forum being used at DMCTalk.com, there is often a problem with AOL addresses not working. Thus, we ask that if you want to participate in DMCTalk.com, you register using another email address. We are more than willing to help anyone with registration, and with over 800 members, it has not been a problem. The response you read Roger was not a rejection by any means, but rather an important piece of information regarding our registration techniques. In regards to the DML and DMCTalk.com. They both have their loyal fans and have a lot of cross over, which is always good. In fact, DMCTalk.com has more activity in regards to the number of posts than the DML on a daily basis, and contrary to some belief, the amount of technical information being swapped between users is very useful and is often done very quickly. And when you want a break from car talk, the open discussion section of the forum usually has some interesting off the beat discussions. I am proud of how large the DMCTalk.com forum has grown over the last few years, offering an alternative arena for DeLorean owners and fans to chat, share pictures, etc. And as a side note, I believe it is the only forum in which a member of the DeLorean family belongs to and participates in. For pictures of Kathryn's baby, stop by and search the forum, she posted some there awhile back. For what it is worth, DMCTalk.com is not available for people using AOL. My attempt resulted in the following response: "AOL Users: Unfortunately, AOL.com handles spam very poorly and will often block "proper" emails sent from the forum. Therefore I prohibit anyone with an AOL email address to join. New users are more than welcome to join using a different email address." I think that AOL handles spam pretty well and I guess I can live without DMCTalk -- it just struck me as a bit of a funny rejection.
