I'm 1 of the 1,967 who likes the DML as it is. Call me "lazy" but it's more convenient to me to have all the messages come to my inbox in digest form. All messages are in one place, in chronological order. I don't have to go clicking a bunch of times to possibly over look a subject I may be interested in. It may be because I work on a computer all day long that I don't want to spend any more time navigating around a web forum. I guess it's just Pepsi or Coke drinkers? < There are many forum programmes that can send individual emails to < those who wish to recieve them, so sorry i dont see that as an < argument. How about digest emails instead of individual? Is that possible? I would call that the best of both worlds. IIRC Dave Stragand had a nice write up on the differences between email list vs. web based forum users in the archives. (or was that another list or a web forum - sorry too many lists to keep track ;-) Shannon Y (email list & web forum user) 16506 -------------------- 4a. Re: DML makeover? Posted by: "Mike Bosworth" mike.bosworth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx bozzzydmc Date: Mon Oct 2, 2006 12:33 pm (PDT) >>snip<< However in all the time i have been reading this list, i dont recall the 'consensus' voting on any proposal whatsoever to move the list onto another format. Honestly, it only takes a little time and effort from those at the 'top' to do so. I enjoy reading all of the Delorean related 'newsgroups' and as you appreciate we now have a very good choice, but i am sorry to say this but the DML has become VERY outdated, what with many other forums now thriving, unless the people that look after this newsgroup change with the times, this site will become as redundant as DMC factory workers became 25 years ago :(. There are many forum programmes that can send individual emails to those who wish to recieve them, so sorry i dont see that as an argument. So why not put this to the newsgroup members as a poll or a ballot or something else and prove me wrong?.... That way its the members that decide. Take a look at the actual 'posts' profile, at the bottom of this page, unless people dont need help anymore, i would say they are already going elsewhere for it. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews/ Kind Regards Mike Bosworth #2001 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
