[DML] Re: melted fuse/fusebox

I just changed my fuse box, and it was very simple.
You can order a new fuse box and all the connectors and fuses from the
vendor of your choice.
Best to replace the connectors. The other option is just to replace
the damaged connectors. You can use a screwdriver to pop them out,
make sure they are all the way in when you put them back. If the
connector appears, or becomes damaged in anyway on removal replace it.
The whole operation is very simple. You need a crimper for the new
connectors and a screwriver, nothing else. Be sure to do them one at
a time. Easiest to start from the top. Take 1-2 hours depending on
how many connectors you replace. I suggest you consider replacing the
relays as well or at least remove and replace them to verify a good
connection. The problem is, the connections get corroded, the current
draw increases as a constant but not a spike, the fust doesn't burn
but the heat increases melting the plastic while the circuit itself
remains fairly intact. This is not safe and could lead to a "fire"..
so stay on top of it.
