I agree with keeping our distance from the Bricklin crowd. The two cars are often confused as it is by many people out there. The Bricklin and the DeLorean both have individual unique histories. We hate it when people confuse the D for a Bricklin (or insist to us that the D was built in Canada), and I think the Bricklin people must feel the same way. I remember Erik Geerdink's description of his experience when he brought his DeLorean to the last Bricklin gathering. I don't want to speak for Erik, but as I recall he made it seem like the Bricklin people looked down on him and resented his car being there. I personally think that these are two very different cars, and running joint service centers or even joint car shows with the Bricklins will only create more confusion and incorrect facts in the future. Don't get me wrong, I like the Bricklin, but I would rather see our DeLorean groups focusing on what drew us all together in the first place: the DMC-12 and JZD.
