My experience of disintegrated cats is the innards get blown in to the muffler where they continue working and get cvery hot. This usually results in a characteristic bulge at the lower middle of the back fascia. We have a car in at the moment which has had this problem for so long that the bulge is massive and the epoxy has actually cracked and fallen off the centre section of the rear of the chassis Martin DMCL Lawrence Lormand wrote: >Tom, from what you say you hear it sure sounds as if your cat is plugged, Here's how >to check,1st reomve your cat & start the car for just a quick crank & check to see if >it's running better if not you could have a head failure or plugged exhaust value >holes.
