Why isn't it DeLorean related?
In my experience these permanent markers can be removed with a bit of
solvent such as lacquer thinner.
I once had hundreds of water stains on the horizontal surfaces of my D and
the only thing that took them out was vinegar..

Ok, so it's not exactly Delorean related since it isn't on my
Delorean, but it is a friend's brushed stainless steel kitchen table.
He had a party, and alot of people signed a banner with permanent
markers, which, of course, bled through to the stainless. Luckily, I
was able to prevent him from using steel wool to clean the table.. So,
suppose someone used a permanent magic marker on your hood... how
would you go about removing the marks (that is, from the hood, not the
head of the culprit)?
