It's a large nut and the shaft has a flat that it supposed to have the
flange of the nut tapped into it. I guess they forgot to do it at the
(Renault) factory.
Let's be clear here - it's a known, but very rare problem - probably
similar statistics to drivers side torsion bar failures I'd reckon. And
none of us really lose any sleep over them do we?
