I appreciate you relating the possible symptoms and I'm glad I don't 
have any of them.

Martin, I only say that mileage is my indicator because I was under 
the impression that they typically last 80,000 miles. I'm approaching 
60k. 

I drive the car pretty gently, so hopefull you are right and I'll get 
many more miles out of it. I also have the rare 10 spline input shaft. 
Fortunately, DMCH still has these 10 spline discs.
