Gang - The technology for decent electric cars is closer than some might think. A friend of mine is working on the car that is featured in the news article that can be found at the following link - http://tinyurl.com/pznp2 For a reasonable price, all things considered, these folks will have a pure electric car with a range of 250 miles, 0 - 60 in 4 (as in *four*) seconds, and a top speed circa 130mph. I personally could live with that. With the heavier weight of a DeLorean (as compared to the Tesla), the perfromance would be down a bit, but ... hey! Style counts for something. I could envision somebody producing a retrofit kit or a conversion program for exotic cars using this technology.
