It could be that the wire from the radio to the antennae is not
connected. Check the connection where it enters the radio and there is
a connection behind the driver's seat near the relay. If the ends are
connected you could have a problem with the wire itself or the
antennae. Pull the connector out of the radio and see if there is
continuity between the inner core and the outer shield. If there is,
either the wire is bad or there is a short in the antennae. You can
also check that the outer shield has continuity to ground. It should.
If the antennae and wire appear to be OK you could have a problem with
the radio. Stick a piece of wire into the center conductor of the
radio antennae input and lay it on the floor. You should get a decent
signal.
