[DML] Re: Steering problem

I checked under the dash and noticed my "chicken wire"
cage around the column is broken, so that will have to
be fixed. Does anyone sell just the cage part of the
steering column?

Also, what purpose does this part serve? Is it
primarily structural stability?

Thanks to everyone who answered, I'll keep you posted
on how things work out.
