Mike - This may be rather embarassing. I bought rolls of vinyl self-
adhesive "contact paper" shelf liner material from wherever I could
find enough of approximately the right color. The white came from
Walmart, the red from a hobby store called Michaels, and the blue from
somewhere that I don't recall. The stars were all cut out from the
white material, and the stripes were alternating white and red widths
of the vinyl, laid side to side. Everything was laid down on the car
by hand, with the goal of making the stripes and other features
straight when viewed from directly above. The gold lettering was made
at a sign shop and was provided to me at cost when they found out what
the application was. I hope this helps. Be sure to provide us with
pictures of the result of your efforts.

American flag on your car. I'd like to do a pattern of my own. Also,
if you have any suggestions on where to get it that would be great.
