Steve, As far as I am concerned it should last as long as the original.
15 to 20 years if you buy a new one.

Subject: [DML] Accumulator life.
I am experiencing the hot start problem w/ my '81 DMC. I replaced the fuel
accumulator in '99 which fixed a hot start problem back then.I don't know if
or when it was replaced before that. I have only driven the car a couple
thousand miles since then. What is the expected life of an accumulator,
could it have gone bad again in 7 years?
Thanks
Steve
