Ryan, Anytime you open up the AC system it's always recommended that the accumulator and orifice is always replaced. Some companies won't extend any kind of warranty if it's not done when replacing a compressor. Becarefull in buying another 25 year old compressor to replace a 25 year old one. All my compressors are all brand new and carry a 2 year warranty.
