[DML] Replacing Motor & Manual Tranny Mounts

I haven't found a lot of information on replacing motor and transmission
mounts - Can the engine be slightly lifted with a jack or hoist to
replace these without actually pulling the engine?  Can someone point me
to an article or posting?
