Just my opinion (not that you asked), but I find that the times I've
actually needed dead reckoning when GPS alone wasn't available were
VERY few and far between.  My GPS works in all weather and atmospheric
conditions.  Unless you're driving all the time in cities with tall
buildings, or in parking garages, you might want to compute a
cost/benefit analysis for DR.  It's really not needed these days for
99.9% of my driving.
