The problem for Ed is that while his patronage gradually sells their cars or the cars simply wear out he is not recruiting new business for the future. The first Delorean I looked at before 2277 was an 83 with 230,000 miles on it serviced by Ed its entire life, this car will not last forever and the owner was selling it so that equals less business for D1. His business model is not sustainable, there are not as many loaded people driving Deloreans as there are buying jeans. He will eventually go bankrupt or retire, which I guess might be his plan anyway. Simple economics. There is no question that people have been treated very badly and unprofessionally. Just understand.. Ed doesn't care. If he has gotten this bad there must be some reason why, perhaps it's because he must now buy parts from his former business partner who has a thriving successful operation and opening more service facilities. D1, for all of us is a distant memory and not a player in the minds of the majority of the community because of Ed's switch to a more "isolationist" business model. > [moderator snip] To address comments privately to the moderating team, please address: moderators@xxxxxxxxxxx For more info on the list, tech articles, cars for sale see www.dmcnews.com To search the archives or view files, log in at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dmcnews Yahoo!
