Zinc coating, aka galvanizing, is not a great option. You have to find
someone with a tank large enough to dip the frame in, it adds a LOT of
weight, it messes up all the holes which have to be drilled/tapped
out, you have to cut open any areas that can trap the molten zinc, and
the frame can distort from the heat. Before doing zinc I would
consider powder, no distortion and much less weight.
