[DML] luggage compartment strut replacement

I just purchased a pair of struts for the hood/luggage compartment
from DMCH, but they did not come with instructions on how to remove
and install. I downloaded the "Strut Removal/Replacement" .pdf file
from the Tech Notes section of the DMCH Web site, but the directions
it contains are incomplete.

I have almost ZERO wrench turning experience or ability, so I can't
take "some" information and run with it. Still, changing out struts
seems like something I should be able to do with some solid detailed
direction from someone or somewhere. Can anyone point me to a complete
tech article explaining how to do this, since I was not able to find
one, or list all the steps and the tools I need here. I'd hate to
bother a mechanic with this.
