Smart move. Just be safe. I'm due for a new set myself, just from age.

Don't discard those NCTs! Keep 'em. They have value if their cosmetic
appearance is still good. The owner of a concours car/trailer queen
may want to buy them from you someday, or you could place them on
eBay. They may be unsafe to ride on, but they are definitely not trash.
