I gave up on the wiring diagram and found the schematic in the service manual, now I get it. It's very likely now that I actually was able to insulate the temp switch at the waterpump by reinstalling it using Teflon tape. Will test tomorrow night. If not, is there a problem with installing a spare relay into the hot start socket till I get it sorted out? I know the valve and the feed from the starter are good so it should work - I'll just get rich/flooded if I crank too long?
