[DML] Transmission Lip Seals

Hi All

Does anyone have any experiences to share in replacing these seals,
i am mid way on doing my CV joints and thought now was a good time
to get rid of my weeping from one of these seals these are the ones
for the rear wheels on the transmission case listed as

103013 lip seal O ring
and 103044 Lip seal

In particular what have you used to remove the big 'nut' without
purchasing the tool that is listed in the manual and also removing /
refitting these seals.
