I'm running the MegaSquirt on an 85 Nissan truck, and a buddy has it on his 84 300zx turbo. (not to get too off topic) It is a viable system, you need a firm understanding of what is required for an engine to run. And yes there are many variations and add-ons. Check out www.msefi.com and www.megasquirt.com for more info. I personally will keep the k-jetronic on my D since I prefer to keep it stock.
