[DML] Painting the intake manifold

I'm looking at painting my intake manifold and valve covers to spruce up the look of the engine a little bit.  However I'm not sure what paint to use.  I've found a couple posts in the archives about using hi-temp paint only to have it burn away in a few minutes.  But this could be for a number of reasons like improper preparation, etc.  Anyone have any experience with this?  If so what paint did you use?  Any special preparation?
