Well I got my new DIN size radio in last night, and yes I thought
about it 10 times. Do I cut or don't I cut into the mounting
bracket. I finally came to the realization that I probably will
never want to go back to the older knob style radios, and I doubt my
car will ever be in a museum. The coversion took a couple of hours.
Careful taping, and measuring and cut it out with a jig saw and
touched it up afterwards with a dremel tool. A speaker upgrade will
have come this winter.
