Hello, I agree with James on this one. Especially since 1897 was built in June (not july) of 81. I haven't seen 1897 at all, but I have seen 1997 (also a black interior auto built june of 81). I have pics of 1997 if anyone is interested. The reason I have them is 1997 was for sale a few years back and I almost bought it. Some other VIN#'s can be seen on DeLoreans at the factory in various pictures and videos.
