I'm going to replace the wire and not the tube.  Will the wire slide through 
the tube without taking the tube out of the car?  It seems as though it 
would make it easier
for the wire to slide through the tube if the tube were straightened out.  I 
placed an order for the cable from DMC already and hope to have the part in 
a couple of days.
